Pakistan Ordinance Factories is accepting applications from Pakistani men and women for the services of 100 artisans for Batch No. 55, Phase I. Applicants from all over the country can apply.

POF stands for "Pakistan Ordnance Factory", a Pakistani arms manufacturing company operating under the Pakistan Army. It provides weapons to Pakistan's defense forces such as the army, air force, navy and police, as well as to those who are interested in possessing weapons for security purposes.

Terms and Conditions:

Interested male and female candidates who have an Abitur in Science can apply for this seat. Only eligible candidates between the ages of 17 and 21 can apply for this seat.

Applicants from all over Pakistan can apply. The list of vacancies for each province is stated in the announcement on the POF website www.pof.gov.pk.

Details of POF Craftsmen Training Scheme

The selected candidates will undergo 18 months training at Pakistan Institute of Manufacturing Enterprises Technology (POFIT) in Wah Kanta as per the provisions of Apprentices Ordinance, 1962.

Selected individuals will also receive a monthly stipend. Details of the monthly stipend are also given on the POF website. Uniforms and stationery will be provided to the artisans free of cost during the training.

Under the terms of the Apprenticeship Rules 1966, an employer is not required to offer a job to an apprentice. However, a limited number of successful top students can be classified as BPS-5 (Skilled Worker) on merit according to POF requirements. Provincial quotas for newcomers will also be introduced.
